These traditional melodies connect generations\u2014both past and future. The project\u2019s name, &#8220;Malol,&#8221; reflects the resilience and spirit of Jordan and its people, much like the &#8220;Malol&#8221; tree, known for its gentle strength, enduring presence, and resistance to being felled.<\/p>\n<p>Through authentic folk songs and collective efforts, the project reconnects people with their roots and strengthens the cultural identity of Jordan\u2019s kind and generous communities.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative is a collaboration between Tajalla for Music and Arts and the Institute for Policy and Society, dedicated to exploring, documenting, and reviving Jordanian musical heritage. Tajalla began this work in 2017 through the &#8220;I Am My Voice&#8221; project, implemented in four cities: Irbid, Madaba, Tafila, and Petra.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to revive and spread Jordan\u2019s popular heritage, bridging generational gaps between children, youth, and their parents and grandparents.
