shurufat

Shurufat is an interactive project featuring live musical performances delivered spontaneously to the public without prior announcement of their timing. The performances include carefully selected songs, with Jordanian musicians and singers showcasing their talents from the balconies of historic Amman homes, known for their distinctive architectural style.

The repertoire features a diverse selection of classical, Arabic, and Jordanian folk music, creating a vibrant and culturally rich experience.

The project aims to bring music to people in a direct and spontaneous way, fostering simple yet meaningful interactions, breaking societal monotony, promoting tourism, and adding genuine beauty to the city of Amman.

Since its inception in Amman, Shurufat has expanded to include performances in several Jordanian governorates, including Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash, Al-Salt, Madaba, Karak, and Al-Tafila.
